Ivory Caps vs. Gluta 9000 vs. Gluta 200000 Review 79

As you know, I’ve been taking Ivory Caps for quite a while now.

Along my journey, I’ve noticed some specific pros and cons that I’d like to delve into.

Now, I’ll list some of the key pros and cons that I’ve come across in the months that I’ve been taking Ivory Caps.

Pros of Ivory Caps

  • They work! – If you take the right dosage of them for your body and the right amount of vitamin c along with them, you will see results; that is unless you’re one of the unlucky people that can’t tolerate them.
  • Their claim that you won’t darken after you stop taking them is true! – At one point, I ran out of them and wasn’t able to buy more of them right away. I made sure to wear sunscreen when I went outside, and my skin didn’t darken during that period.
  • I didn’t experience any side effects while taking Ivory Caps! – Really the only “side effect” that I’ve ever experienced was my skin getting lighter, which was the main point of taking them in the first place.
  • There are many other health benefits of taking a glutathione supplement – I’ve noticed over time that my eyesight has gotten a bit sharper, I have less lower back pains, far less joint pain, and more energy while taking glutathione! Now, I’m not saying that every person is going to have this experience, but this is my personal account. I should also note that these health benefits are across the board for Ivory Caps, Gluta 9000, and Gluta 200000.

Cons of Ivory Caps

  • They seem to target the lighter parts of your skin first! – What I mean is that they lightened up the lighter parts of my skin first and not the dark marks. This only emphasized those dark marks.
  • You can end up looking washed out, splotchy, and uneven! – Though they were lightening up my skin, I ended up looking kind of washed out and ashy on the lighter parts of my skin. My skin had a real patchy look to it because it was taking way longer for the dark spots to lighten up.

As you can see, my skin looks uneven and kind of blotchy in this pic. I also look kind of washed out.

  • My skin started to peel! – It says on the bottle or on the paper that comes in the package, I don’t remember which, that Ivory Caps can cause skin peeling. This peeling is part of the skin lightening and brightening process and is normal. My problem is that for whatever reason, the skin around my lips began to peel really badly. At one point, a sore developed at the top of my mouth and because it was peeling all the time from taking the pills, it couldn’t heal properly. I put some vitamin e oil on it, and it finally healed back up.
IC skin peel

If you look closely, you can see that the skin around my mouth is peeling. You can also see more of how uneven my skin is; my chin is so dark but my cheeks have lightened up.

  • They are expensive! – With Ivory Caps, you get 60 of them in a bottle, but you need to make at least 2 of them a day to see any results. My regimen was taking 4 of them a day which meant that I would run out of them in less than a month.

Due to those cons, I started searching for another product that was cheaper but still effective, and I found Gluta 9000.

I took them for 2 whole months, and here are some of the pros and cons that I ran into.

Pros of Gluta 9000

  • They work! –I was very skeptical of these because I wasn’t familiar with the brand, but after taking before and after pictures of when I first started taking them, I definitely saw a difference in my skin.
  • You get a higher dosage of glutathione with these! –Gluta 9000 has 9,000 mg of glutathione per dosage (1 pill) vs. the 1,500 per dosage (2 pills) with Ivory Caps.
  • They target the dark spots first! –These pills started to lighten up the dark spots on my face first.

As you can see, a lot of the dark marks from the previous photos are fading away!

  • They gave my skin a smoothness and glow! – Within days of taking these, I started to see that my skin was getting smoother and more even. My skin also had a healthy glow!
  • They are WAY more affordable than Ivory Caps! –From where I got my Gluta 9000, they were about $13 cheaper per bottle than Ivory Caps.
  • They last longer! –It says on the bottle to take 2 a day, one in the morning and one at night, but I only took 1 per day and was able to still see results!

Cons of Gluta 9000

  • I really can’t think of any cons while I was taking them.

That being said, I did start to look for something else because around that time it was coming up on a full year that I had been trying to achieve an even and brighter skin tone.

I was still trying to repair the damage to my skin from the old acne scars that I had.

That’s when I started to search for something stronger, and I found Gluta 200000.

I just finished my first bottle of them the day before yesterday, and here are some of the pros and cons that I’ve experienced.

Pros of Gluta 200000

  • They are pretty much an amped up version of Gluta 9000! – With Gluta 200000, you get 200,000 mg of glutathione per dosage (1 pill).
  • You can see results way faster! – It’s only been a month, and most of the dark marks that you can see in the previous photos are gone!
  • They give your skin a healthy glow and somewhat of a pinkness! – My skin hasn’t been this smooth and soft in a while, and it’s getting better every day. Plus, there is now a pinkness to my skin; this is part of the skin lightening process. First, you’ll see your skin get smoother and pinker right before you start to see skin lightening and brightening; this is especially true for those with darker skin tones.  Right now, there’s really no need for me to wear blush anymore!
  • My skin is not blotchy and uneven anymore! –Before, while I was still taking the Ivory Caps, my skin was very uneven and ashy looking, even with lotion on. Now my real skin tone is coming back, and my skin is looking A LOT healthier!

This is a photo that I took yesterday; my skin tone is FINALLY evening out, and the dark marks are steadily disappearing!

  • My acne is FINALLY clearing up! – I had quite a bit of acne before (not because of the glutathione), and now my skin is so much clearer and cleaner looking!
  • They are even cheaper than Gluta 9000! – From where I get mine, they are about $5 cheaper than Gluta 9000 and about $18 cheaper than Ivory Caps (per bottle).
  • You don’t necessarily have to take vitamin c along with them! – With Ivory Caps, I had to take 1000 mg of vitamin c along with them to maximize the results. With Gluta 200000, the capsules themselves have 20,000 mg of vitamin c already in them. I haven’t been taking the vitamin c capsules at all this past month and have STILL seen results!

Cons of Gluta 200000

  • It takes quite a while for them to be shipped! –They have to be shipped from Thailand in most cases, and that can take at least a couple of weeks.
  • I couldn’t see myself taking them long-term! – Because the amount of glutathione in them is so high, I really wouldn’t want to risk getting too light by taking them for too long. My goal has always been just to get back to my original skin tone and not any lighter than that. I’ll probably just continue to take Gluta 200000 until I reach my goal and then switch back to Ivory Caps and take 1 pill a day for the maintenance dose.

Well there you have it.

I’ve laid out my experiences with these products.

The bottom line is that from my personal experience, all of these products are effective for lightening your skin.

Depending on your skin tone goals and your budget, you’ll want to choose which one of them is the right one for you.

I have been taking ivory pills for going in 3 weeks and I really don’t see s big difference. Growing up I was never a light skin girl but I always had a smooth brown milky complexion. After I had my daughter I had gotten dark and I was not use to it especially in my face. My daughter is now 5 and I’m still dark with an uneven tone. A friend of mine told me about ivory pills a year ago and I was a little bit scared to take them but then I got pregnant aging and gotten darker so I decided to try it out after having my baby. But I don’t if I’m taking the pill correctly . See that it says something that u should take the pills according to your weight so if I weight 185pounds how much pills with vitamin c pills should I take a day.

Hello Jessica! Thank you for sharing your story. While taking Ivory Caps, I didn’t really take them according to my weight. I just used general measurement of 1,000 mg of vitamin c with each dose of Ivory Caps. Another thing that I should add is that I also had to do a bit of trial and error with how many pills to take. Finding the correct dosage for your body will take a bit of time, but it’s definitely worth it in the end. One more thing that I should add is that the darker your skin tone, the longer it will take for you to start see results. I took glutathione for many months before finally reaching my ultimate complexion goal. I would suggest taking them for at least 2 months before deciding whether or not Ivory Caps can actually work for you and your body. Thanks for leaving your comment, and I hope that this helps.

    Hi Jessica,

Found your page very useful. Thank you for helping out in getting things right way. I had started to use ivory caps 2 months back ie. in month of Feb with vitamin c. My routine was to take in empty stomach with one ivory caps and one vitamin c. but still I couldn’t find any such changes. later on after finding your blog started to use GULTA 200000mg without taking vitamin c. still I was not able to see the results also never left home without wearing sunscreen. could you please help me out in providing details on vitamin c which you used.

Hello Msnsi! I’m so sorry that it has taken so long for me to respond to your question; I’ve been very busy lately, and I hope that you’ll forgive me. The vitamin c that I take is a crystallized powder version. Thank you for bringing this concern to my attention because I will make a new post soon and show you the exact kind that I use. I like vitamin c in a crystallized powder version better because it seems to absorb in your body better than the capsules do. I’ll get started on making that post soon so that I can show you and anyone else who was wondering, the exact brand of vitamin c that I use.

I’m sorry that it took so long for me to reply to your message. I personally don’t know of any legitimate retailers in India that I could recommend to you. Perhaps there will be someone else who visits this site who can make a suggestion to you. I hope that you’re able to find a legitimate retailer and that you reach your ultimate skin tone goals!

    Hi Jessica
Thank you so much for replying to my messages, you must be one busy lady! Hey Jessica do you know if it is ok to take gluta 200000 tablets with other medications? I am taking other medications for healthy skin. My routine is I wake up and take my gluta tablets with 1000mg of vitamin c immediately and the wait for at least 30mns, usually it is a bit longer, and then I eat. After I eat, 5-10mins later I take my medications. At night after I had dinner I take the medications and I wait for atleast 30mins to 1hr before I take my gluta tablets. I then go to sleep 30mins later. Is this ok or am I jeopardising my chances of gluta absorption?
Thanks for your help Jessica, I honestly would have no faith and motivation if wasn’t for you and your great results

      Hello Roseana,

I didn’t experience any adverse side effects while taking Gluta 200000; I really couldn’t tell you how much it would lighten your skin exactly because I don’t know your specific regimen and how long you’re going to take them. I can say that if you’re consistent with them, they can be quite effective. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Now some of my skin is peeling especially lip, as i say not the whole body just forearm and lip. As u said some about peeling mean lighter, i don’t know why was that? Can u plz tell me the reason cuz im not sure that my skin peeling bcuz the weather is too dry or i gettig lighter.

    • Reply Jessica Feb 17,2015 6:29 pm

      Hello Johny,

Sorry for the late reply. When I took Ivory Caps, my skin also started to peel, especially around my lips. I’ve did an article about that, which I’m sure you’ve already read. From my experience, your skin peeling is part of a sort of “shedding” phase in the skin lightening process. Once my skin stopped peeling, my complexion was much lighter in those areas. I suggest that you use a good moisturizer in those areas while you’re going through this phase. Let me know if this answers your questions, and keep me posted on your results, ok!

I took the ones in the blue bottle, and I took a capsule once a day. I believe that you can take up to 2 a day, but I wouldn’t take more than that. I hope that this answers your question.

    • Reply Jessica Aug 9,2014 10:01 am

      Hi Jasmine,

I’m not an expert on hormones, but I can tell you what I do to make sure that as much glutathione gets absorbed as possible when I take the pills. I take them with at least a 1000 mg of vitamin c, and I take them on an empty stomach.

My theory is to not over complicate things and to just be patient. This process just takes a bit of time, patience, consistency, and dedication, but it is definitely worth it! I hope this helps, and if you have anymore questions or concerns, never hesitate to leave a comment.

      Hello Jasmine,
I read the article that you are referring to, and one question that it left me with was: Where did they get their sources? From my own research from reputable sites like WebMD, I gathered that glutathione is a natural substance that is naturally made in our bodies through the liver. It is also found in many meats, fruits, and vegetables that we eat. It is even used in anticancer treatments. I’m not trying to persuade or dissuade you in any way, and if you don’t want to continue using glutathione then it is your choice. This article just seems to spout criticisms about glutathione without giving any references to support the claims. From my personal use, I have had great results with glutathione, and not just with my complexion but with my health as well. I haven’t had a cold in just about the entire time that I’ve been taking it, I have more energy, and even my vision has improved a bit. I’m the type of person who doesn’t take to heart things that people say that they don’t back up with sound and real proof, and I didn’t see any doctor reviews or patient testimonies about glutathione anywhere in that article. Thanks for bringing it up though; it’s always nice to have 2 sides to an issue.

From my experience, Gluta 200000 will lighten your skin; it just may take a bit longer depending on how dark your natural skin tone is.

Hello, I am a dark brown guy. I wanted to know if I took Gluta 20000 caps could I become really light in 6 months? I also wanted to know is there anything besides putting on sunscreen you did to help your regiment?

    • Reply Jessica Jun 2,2014 9:23 am

There is no way to really tell exactly how long it would take for you to become really light by taking Gluta 200000. Every person’s body is different, and the speed of your results will depend on how your body metabolizes glutathione. Also, I don’t really use anything else on my face other than sunscreen and a mild moisturizer, neither of which have any type of skin lightening ingredients in them. I have extremely sensitive skin, and I can’t handle having any type of harsh chemicals on my face. That’s why I’m so glad that I’ve had such good results with glutathione products. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions or concerns.

    • Reply Jessica Jun 2,2014 9:30 am

      Hello Jasmine,

There may not be a problem at all. It just takes time to see results. When I first started taking Gluta 200000, the 1 month results were very subtle. It wasn’t until about month 2 or 3 that I started to really see my skin lightening up. Also, I do take vitamin c with my GLuta capsules just to give them an extra boost. I take crystallized vitamin c, which is pretty much vitamin c in a powder form. Due to its acidity, vitamin c can sometimes cause you to break out, but I haven’t seen that problem with the crystallized version. I get mine off eBay. If you want the specific link, just let me know.

    • Reply Jessica Jun 2,2014 9:39 am

      Hello Jasmine,

Sorry that it’s taken me a while to respond. All that I can say is that it takes time. The speed of your results will depend on how effectively your body metabolizes glutathione. Another factor is how dark your natural skin tone is. Darker skin tones will take a bit longer to lighten up. I know that you see the pictures of me and see how dark I was and how light I’ve gotten over time. One thing to keep in mind is that the complexion that I have gotten to now, is my natural skin tone. I was only trying to get rid of my dark tan and old acne scars. That being said, I would recommend that you give it at least one more month. Make sure that you take good and clear photos of yourself so that you can gauge your results and take vitamin c with your capsules. Let me know how things turn out ok! I’m rooting for you!

    • Reply Jessica May 13,2014 12:33 pm

      Hi Patricia,
I haven’t ever stopped taking the pills for more than a day or two, but from my experience, your skin won’t go back to its original color unless you expose yourself to direct sunlight without any sunscreen. Once you’ve reached your desired complexion, it is recommended that you take a maintenance dose, maybe something like 3 to 4 pills a week instead of 2 a day.

thanks a lot for the review. I also suffer from acne scars and purple strechmarks between my thighs from hydroquinone. I want to know if gluta 200000 would clear them both. Also I went on ebay and there are two types of the capsules(pink and blue). which one did you purchase. Thanks

    • Reply Jessica Feb 22,2014 7:08 pm

So far from my experience, Gluta 200000 has worked wonders on my acne scars and dark marks. As far as stretchmarks, they haven’t really had much affect. That being said, the stretchmarks that I had were light in color and not dark or purple. The pills could work if they are dark in color. One thing about my stretchmarks is that now since Gluta 200000 is lightening my skin, the stretchmarks don’t show up as much because all of my skin is becoming the same color. One thing that I’ve found to work wonderfully for getting rid of and preventing stretchmarks is unrefined rosehip oil. This oil works great on scars of any type; I put the oil on in combination with taking the pills, and my skin has never looked better!

As far as the color of the pills, I believe that they are both the same formula, but I take the blue ones. Really it doesn’t matter though, blue or pink as long as they are Gluta 2000000.

Thank you for your comment, and I hope that you found my response to be helpful. Let me know if you decide to start taking the pills, and let me know how it turns out!

and i use sunblock cream but i stay in the sun more than 4 hours due to my job,?? could it be the problem ??

    • Reply Jessica Jan 21,2014 7:23 pm

That could be the problem. I remember that once, while taking glutathione, I went outside without sunscreen for just 15 minutes and my skin darkened. Even though you are wearing sunscreen while you’re outside, you should probably reapply it after a couple of hours due to how long you’re out there. If I were you, I would give it one more month while making these changes, and if they are still not working for you it could mean that you are just someone that glutathione doesn’t work for. Let me know if the sunscreen thing works.

I have one more quick question for you, what is the spf level of your sunblock? If it’s too low you may want to consider going to a higher level as well.

Do you wear sunscreen whenever you are out in sunlight? I’ll need to know the answers to these questions to get an idea of any advice that I can give you.

      Hello Natasha,

With these products, it is possible to lighten or whiten your skin as much as you like, as long as your body adapts to them. Personally, I don’t want to be white, and this is why I only take half the dosage so that the process can be gradual and natural-looking. I’ve seen pictures though of people who were light to medium brown whose skin is white now. It may take longer to reach a white complexion, but it is possible if you take the products regularly, wear sunscreen to protect your skin, and if the products work with your body chemistry.

      Hi Natasha,
Thanks for the comment! It’s up to you whether or not you use extra soap, lotions, or creams that contain glutathione. You can still see results without using anything extra, it just takes time. Personally, I also use a skin brightening soap daily along with my glutathione regimen. I don’t use any lotions or creams though because my skin is far too sensitive. Also it is perfectly fine for you go outside and live your life normally. The sunblock that you have should be enough to keep your skin from darkening. Just make sure that you don’t forget to put it on anytime you go outside. I even put on sunblock when it’s cloudy and during the fall and winter just to make sure that I maintain my results. Well, I hope this helps you!

    Hello Jessica

Thank you so much, this is very helpful. i just wanted to hear if the gluta200000 is to trust cause as i can see the Ivory has the ECS Nutrition certificat and the FDA too.

      Hello Diane,
I’m sorry that it’s taken me a little while to respond; I’ve been super busy these past few days. From what I’ve gathered, Gluta 200000 is Certified GMP, Islamic Committee, Office of Thailand & kindergarten HALAL 100% Natural, Safe and No Side Effects. Since it’s manufactured in another country, it has to be approved by its own FDA like organization. I’ve been taking them for months and have had no adverse side effects. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks Jessica, but in brief, Gluta 200000 and Ivory Caps and Gluta 9000, which one worked on you and please advise the effective dosage, thanks

    • Reply Jessica Nov 30,2013 4:51 pm

All of the products worked, but for me, Gluta 200000 worked the best. As far as the dosage, it says that you should take 2 a day, one in the morning and one at night, but I only take one a day. If you want faster results, you can go ahead and take the 2. I also take it on an empty stomach; I take it 15-30 minutes before I eat a meal. Another tip is that if you to ensure that the glutathione is absorbed properly, you can take 1000 mg of vitamin c with the capsules. At first, I didn’t though. I just took the capsules alone, and I still saw results. I hope this helps; if you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to ask!

Hi friend, compare Ivory Caps Advance and Gluta 200000 or Gluta 300000, which one is the bect choice for whitening the skin-tone? thanks

    • Reply Jessica Nov 28,2013 1:01 pm

I haven’t used Gluta 300000 or the full Ivory Caps Advance system, so I can’t compare them. If I ever do though, I will certainly do a comparison and talk about their effectiveness.

hi, thanks so much for this review. i want to buy the glutha 200,000 but the seller listed mine as a soft gel and the box says botox filler. is that the same you got?

    • Reply Jessica Nov 15,2013 6:01 pm

Thanks for the comment! The kind that I have aren’t the soft gels, they are the capsules. They do say botox filler on the bottle though. The soft gels might be the same, but I can’t be certain because I haven’t used that type before.

with gluta 20000 did your whole body get lighter or just your face and also did your private parts get lighter too?

    • Reply Jessica Nov 15,2013 8:07 am

To answer your question, Gluta 200000 has lightened me over my whole body and not just my face.

  39. Reply Ayshia Oct 22,2013 9:57 pm

Hey!!! Are you going to be doing an update every month? Have you noticed anything else other than lightening?

I’m going to buy the 200,000…but I also came across this on ebay..

    what do you think?

    • Reply Jessica Oct 23,2013 10:06 am

I was thinking of doing month-to-month updates, and I just might. This is my first time seeing the 300,000; I’ve never used it so I can’t give any personal thoughts on the product. What I would suggest is that you do your homework and go with the product that you believe will be best for you. Thanks for the response!

Hi there! Finally O found a review about gluta 200000 on english version! Thanks to you!
I just got mine from phayao shop in ebay.com which is thailand based. How do you know if it is authentic? Do you think mine is original? Where did u bought yours? And how many weeks will I see the result? Will I get lighter after finishing 1 bottle?
another question, I am an acidic type of person, do i still have to take an extra vitamin C to see the effect?I hope u response on my email since I guess i wont be notified once u replied here.
    Good day and thanks again!

    • Reply Jessica Oct 11,2013 11:18 am

Thanks for your response; I got mine through Amazon from a company called Pretty White the first time, but when I bought some more I got them from the same people that you did on eBay. From what I can tell so far, the ones from Phayao Shop are the real deal.

I started to see results in about 2 weeks with Gluta 200000; my skin started to get smoother, had less acne, and got a bit pinker. It didn’t start to lighten until around about a month though. From my experience, you can see visible results by the end of the first bottle.

When I first started taking the Gluta 200000 capsules, I didn’t take any extra vitamin c at all; I just relied on the 20,000 mg of it that are supposed to already be in them. I still saw results. If I were you, I would take them without the vitamin c for a week or 2 and monitor the results. If it seems that you are getting results, then everything should be fine, but if you aren’t, then you may want to try to take some extra vitamin c with them. I stopped taking vitamin c tablets for a while because of their acidity and just ate an apple or some cucumber slices about 30 minutes after taking the Gluta 200000 capsule, and my skin is looking so much more vibrant. Also, another tip to get the best results with Gluta 200000 or Gluta 9000 or Ivory Caps is to take them on an empty stomach about 15 – 30 minutes before breakfast or after dinner. I’ve read studies that say that glutathione works better on an empty stomach. That has also been the case in my experience as well. Sorry for such a long reply; I hope that you and others find it useful though. Take care!

With Gluta 9000, are the results permanent?? Aside from that I want to tell you that I love how legit your review is! You actually post pictures and keep us updated, so thank you 😀

    • Reply Jessica Oct 2,2013 3:49 pm

Thanks for the comment! From what I’ve experienced, the results from Gluta 9000 were permanent. At one point I ran out of them before I could more, and I just made sure that I put on sunscreen when I went outside, and my skin didn’t get darker. I really appreciate your feedback; it really helps me out a lot!

I hope Jessica doesn’t mind me adding in this information but it may be helpful to anyone who reads this blog asking the same question.

L-Glutathione was used for various other diseases/illnesses and was discovered over prolonged use of time that the only side effect was skin lightening. It’s usually mixed with Vitamin C to release VC’s whitening properties also.

L-Glutathione and Vitamin C are two things we can naturally either consume or have in our bodies, the only different is the dosage of tablet form we can buy so when you stop taking that extra dosage your skin will, slowly over time, revert back to its original tone. The only answer to keeping your skin at it’s desired tone is maintenance.

I know it sucks but it’s also something for people to consider before starting their skin tone changing adventure; the price of maintenance for as long as you want to keep your new tone will be costly.

        Hello Adrianna,

Sorry for the late reply. I really appreciate the information that you put here, and you make a great point. Changing one’s skin tone permanently will take maintenance. I am in the maintenance phase myself, and thus far, I have been able to maintain my results. Thanks for your comment!
